Indonesia
Overview
Indonesia’s AML/CFT framework is anchored in Law No. 8 of 2010, supported by implementing rules on reporting entities, beneficial ownership and sector-specific preventive controls. OJK Regulation No. 8 of 2023 consolidates AML/CFT/CPF requirements across the financial-services perimeter. PADK No. 4 of 2026 provides trustee-specific implementation guidance for this OJK programme in the capital-markets perimeter.
Indonesia applies corporate beneficial-ownership transparency under Presidential Regulation No. 13 of 2018 and beneficial-owner identification within CDD. FATF/APG assessments continue to test effectiveness and access to accurate ownership information.
Law No. 8/2010 and PPATK implementing rules require suspicious and other prescribed transaction reporting. Reporting-entity scope was expanded through Government Regulation No. 43/2015 and subsequent amendments.
